Procedures concerning the implementation of changes in law and legislation that are not handled in a structural manner, are time consuming and very often do not deliver the desired results. It is usually the moment when changes are implemented that it becomes clear that functionalities in the requirements have not described clearly or extensively enough during the design phase, and no attention has been paid to the location or structure of certain information. As such, it is not clear for administrators how business requirements are implemented in the underlying technique by the IT department. As a consequence. all system components need to be checked for a possible impact brought forward be the effect of the change in legislation. Once again, the business is dependent on IT.
Mark Mastop, Manager Product Development & Innovation at Everest: "Knowledge intensive organisations continuously need to deal with changes in the amount of information that their organisations are dependent on. That is why requirements and applications need to be updated and changed. Moreover, many processes are cross functional, which makes the impact of changes even bigger. With Aquima Business View this becomes manageable. Due to the combination of integration and interaction in one system, a link is created between law and legislation analysis and the implementation hereof.
