Zwitserleven, part of SNS Reaal, is a top-ten player in the Dutch pensions and insurance market. Zwitserleven products include life insurance, life annuity products, single-premium products, mortgages and various capital management and investment products. Zwitserleven serves more than 600,000 private and business customers and generates an annual premium turnover of more than two billion euros.

 

Tightened legislation and regulations meant that Zwitserleven was confronted with all kinds of compliancy issues when composing quotations and contracts that were drawn up manually for every party. Many different complex quotations and contracts were involved, which increased the chance of inaccuracies and required a lot of specialised manpower. Zwitserleven wanted to standardise these documents in an easily understandable and maintainable manner.

Results achieved

• Legislative changes can be entered quickly in all documents. The process is transparent and it is clear for auditing purposes which version of the policy has been used for generating a quotation or contract.
• Efficiency and fewer mistakes. Documents no longer have to be drawn up manually by a specialist. Changes need only be made at one place and are then entered in the documents automatically.
• Reduced time-to-market. The business itself maintains the texts, without the need for input from the IT department.
• Lower company risks through knowledge recording and standardisation. The knowledge on the composition and content of the documents is no longer only in the heads of specialised employees; it has now also been recorded in Aquima Documents.
