Aegon is one of the world's largest publicly listed insurers. In the Netherlands, 3,000 people work from the branches in The Hague, Leeuwarden, Groningen and Nieuwegein. Abroad, around 24,000 people work in 14 different countries.
Challenge
Aegon had an extremely ambitious lead time in which it wanted to place an insurance package online that would allow consumers to apply for and accept quotations for home and contents insurance.
Realised system
A front office system for consumers for quoting and taking out home and contents insurance packages on the Aegon website. By means of a targeted questionnaire, consumers are given customised service and can be offered personal advice in PDF format.
Results achieved
- Short lead time between the start of the project and the delivery.
- Changes made quickly through an iterative development.
- High quality through close collaboration between business and IT.
- Few to no test findings in the testing phase.
- Stable application which still operates perfectly after a year.
